Located just west of Eudora, this arch bridge crosses an unnamed creek.
Built in 1899, the bridge features a stone arch span, which was encased in concrete in 1941. Encasing arches was commonly used to preserve and lengthen the lives of the structures.
Many of the standard stone arches on the ATSF system had a brick lining in addition to the stone structure. It is unknown, but likely that this bridge had a brick lining as well.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition. Unfortunately, heavy foliage prevented the author from getting as many photos as hoped. The author plans to return to this location eventually.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is an overview.
